Promotion Tip: Show Off Some Jewelry To Jumpstart Your Business

Jewelry can actually be the easiest merchandise to sell. That is if you present it to your potential customer in person. How often have you worn an accessory and got compliments from family, friends or other people you've run into?

That's the wear and share technique. It's really simple and it works well. Just purchase a few Kitsy Lane items that you really like and wear them whenever you go out. When you get people saying how they like your jewelry, and most will ask where you got it, let them know about your boutique. And make sure you have business cards to give away that has your Facebook page on it so they can see pictures of other items as you add them to your online store.

Guys, you can do this, too. Just have some jewelry that you carry around with you. Tell all the ladies you know, family, friends and co-workers about your business and ask their opinions of the jewelry you have. See what they think of the quality and design. This way they can see for themselves what the merchandise looks like and may want to try it on. Don't be surprised if they want to purchase your samples, just make sure you have extras if you sell them.

There are lots of promotions going on, so now is the time to catch some sales. You don't have to spend a lot just a get a couple of pieces that are unique.

Promotion Tip: Using Twitter And Facebook Together

In addition to your Facebook fan page you'll alse want to have a Twitter account dedicated for your business. After you get it set up you'll start posting messages, called tweets.

There are 2 steps you'll need to follow to get your Twitter account set up to automate your promotions with Kitsy Lane.

First login to your Kitsy Lane boutique and go to Manage Boutique, then on the left side of the page look for Grow My Business. Scroll down to Social Media Settings. Click the selections and login to your make sure your Twitter and Facebook accounts are connected to Facebook.

Currently you may have to check every 30 days to make sure your Facebook account is still connected.

Second, log into your Twitter account and connect it to your Facebook fan page. From the menu  find Settings, then go to Profile. Near the bottom you'll see an option to comnnect to Facebook. Make sure you select the bottom option where it says connecting to other pages, you should see your fan page.

This way any tweets to Twitter will post that content to your Facebook page as well automatically. Also once your Twitter account is linked to Kitsy Lane whenever you click to add a new item to your boutique it will post to Twitter which will then post to Facebook.

This is important because if visitors don't have a KL account with you yet as a customer they're unable to view merchandise until they register. New items added to FB through Twitter offer anyone the opportunity to view the item, description and price simply by clicking the FB post. Have people like your FB page so they can get updates on what's new at your boutique, since they'll get it directly to their timelime. And of course the more likes, the larger your audience, plus they can of course comment and share.

If you have questions or comments feel free to post them here.

Check out mine:  https://www.facebook.com/TheDivasJewelryBox

Once you login to Facebook at the top right you'll see a menu that when you mouse over will have an option to Create a Page. Set it up with the name of your boutique. From your Facebook timeline you'll be able to share posts from Kitsy Lane to your page.

Make sure to also include other topics on your page like seasonal fashion updates, jewelry care tips and more to add content of interest to your visitors, not just sales promotions.
